Art of Living Wellness Class

Hippocrates, a renowned physician, noted, "Medicine is the most distinguished of all the arts; however, through the ignorance of those who practice it and of those who casually judge such practitioners, it is now of all the arts by far the least esteemed."

With years of practicing my art, I have come to realize that illnesses cannot be separated from life itself as if a fish's well-being cannot be separated from the water it is in.  From the comment of Hippocrates, I can hear that Hippocrates was advising for practitioners to go beyond the apparent signs and symptoms of the disturbed body and see the person behind the body. I can see that the possibility of medicine being the most distinguished of all the arts can only be realized when the practitioners understand the wisdom in our miraculously built body and help patients to appreciate the innate wisdom of the body through their illnesses.

As we know, the practice of conventional medicine is based on knowledge rather than wisdom. I advocate practice of medicine be rooted in wisdom innate to our body while using science-based knowledge of therapeutics for medicine to be the most distinguished of all the arts.

I believe that the root of our unnecessary sufferings lie in our wired and habituated brain. It is refreshing to know that the brain has the ability to re-wire its existing habituated pattern in default mode . If we can use our illnesses as life's invitation to examine our own self and practice mindfulness to rearrange our way of life, then our sicknesses can be a conduit for our transformative growth.

To accomplish the above, I am offering the Art of Living wellness class.  Please join us on this journey of transformative growth.
